These delicious, no-bake chocolate banana cups are made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for keeping stocked in the freezer for when a chocolate craving hits!
As much as I love the idea of baking and creating beautiful desserts, most of the time I’m just looking for something that doesn’t involve much time or energy. Something easy that satisfies that craving for something sweet, but is still healthy.
These chocolate banana cups are perfect for those occasions. They don’t require any baking, you only need to dirty one bowl, and they’re made with just 5 simple ingredients!
Ingredients needed:
- Dark chocolate: you can use your favourite dark chocolate bar, or even chocolate chips if you’d prefer. Just choose something with over 70% cacao.
- Coconut oil: this helps the chocolate melt more smoothly.
- Banana: the star of the show when it comes to the filling!
- Nut or seed butter: I used sunflower seed butter, but really any nut or seed butter works here. Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, or even tahini would be delicious. If you want to take these to the next level, you could try using my Super Seed Pecan Cashew Butter. So good!
- Flaky sea salt: optional, but highly recommended!
How to make chocolate banana cups:
- First, melt the chocolate and coconut oil until liquid. You can do this on the stove or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.
- Line a mini muffin tray with liners and then pour 1 tsp of melted chocolate into the bottom of each cup. Gently press the chocolate up the sides of the liner with a spoon and then freeze for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
- Once the chocolate has set, add your banana slices and nut or seed butter and top with remaining chocolate.
- Place back in the freezer for 10 minutes to harden. Top with flaky sea salt and enjoy!
