This Orange Creamsicle Chia Pudding is super creamy and packed with that delicious orange vanilla flavour. Made with greek yogurt, fresh orange, chia seeds, and a touch of turmeric, it makes the perfect nutritious snack or dessert!
This chia pudding is the perfect way to celebrate citrus season add enjoy something a little more refreshing and uplifting during these darker winter months.
It’s also incredibly delicious, easy to make and made with healthy ingredients of course!
I love making a batch or two at the beginning of the week to enjoy as a snack or part of a breakfast. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Ingredients
- Chia seeds: of course you can’t have a chia pudding without the chia seeds! These are a great way to get more fibre into your diet and are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids.
- Orange: we’re using the zest and juice of fresh oranges for the best flavour. No need to strain the pulp!
- Greek yogurt: for that nice creamy texture and some added protein. Make sure to use an unsweetened yogurt. If you’re dairy-free, you could also use a plant-based option like coconut yogurt.
- Almond milk: I use unsweetened almond milk, but feel free to use a different type of non-dairy or dairy milk.
- Maple syrup: in addition to the orange juice, this adds a touch of sweetness to the chia pudding. Honey is another great option.
- Vanilla extract: adds to that delicious creamsicle flavour.
- Turmeric: completely optional, but it’s a great way to sneak in some extra nutrients since turmeric is anti-inflammatory and rich in antioxidants.
- Sea salt: just a pinch to help enhance the other flavours.
