Maca Energy Balls

An easy, nutrient packed snack to curb that afternoon sweet tooth! Packed with gems like maca, hemp seeds and almond butter, and naturally sweetened with Medjool dates

Ingredients
  

  • 8 soft Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 1/3 cup hemp hearts
  • 1/2 cup nut or seed of choice (I used cashews and pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/3 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1.5-2 tbsp maca powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp of water, as needed

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients, except water, in a food processor and process briefly until a “dough-like” batter forms. If your dough doesn’t quite stick together, add a little water and process again.
  • Roll into balls and refrigerate until ready to eat.

Notes

These energy balls aren't overly sweet. If you would prefer them to be sweeter, feel free to add a few more dates. Your mixture will likely be more sticky, so you may want to use less almond butter and omit the water.
